Children's Services
Every Child's Journey: We honor each child’s unique journey and meet them where they are. Our approach is inclusive, respectful, and grounded in each family’s culture, strengths, and needs.
Nurturing Children, Strengthening Families
Our children and family services are designed to support healthy growth and development of children. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and receive the services they need, while helping caregivers build confidence in their parenting and strengthen their relationship with their children.
Support for Children
Our services are designed with the whole family in mind, to ensure every child receives the support they need. By addressing the needs of the entire family, we help build healthier relationships, promote child development, and create a strong foundation for long-term success.
Addressing the Needs of Children
We focus on supporting children in the areas that matter most for their development and reaching milestones. Through observation, screening, and individualized support, we identify strengths and areas of need and connect children to appropriate services without delay. Our approach helps ensure children receive consistent, responsive care that supports their emotional, social, and developmental growth.
Ages 0 - 5
ECECD-Licensed Therapeutic Childcare Center:
Our on-site therapeutic childcare center is licensed through the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD). This allows mothers to fully participate in treatment while their children receive quality care in a safe, play-based environment. Therapeutic ratios help staff provide individualized attention and support to each child.
As families prepare to transition from treatment, our Family Support Specialists help connect them with childcare resources in their home communities to help ensure care continues after discharge.
Developmental Screenings:
Children receive Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ-2 and ASQ-3) to monitor developmental milestones, including communication, motor, problem-solving and social skills. If concerns are identified, families are connected with the appropriate services and referrals as early as possible to support healthy development.
Nutrition Services:
Individual nutrition education and consultation are available for both mothers and children. Support includes pregnancy and postpartum nutrition, infant feeding, introducing solid foods, growth concerns, picky eating, formula guidance, and healthy mealtime routines.
Therapeutic Services:
Play therapy is available for children ages 4 and older to support emotional well-being, healthy expression, and coping skills in a developmentally appropriate way.
Care Coordination:
Our team supports families by connecting them with appropriate services and resources to meet their unique needs.
